Get outside and enjoy the view! Join the Pepin County Land Conservation Department, Wisconsin DNR, and Lower Chippewa Invasive Partnership for the 3rd annual staff and volunteer workday at Maiden Rock Bluff SNA. Maiden Rock is known for peregrine falcons, 400 foot bluffs, and rare plants. But there are concerns; invasive brush and red cedar are invading the remnant bluff prairie and oak savanna. We will remove the invasive plants and collect seed from native plants to replace the invasives. The work takes energy but will be on steep to flat terrain so we can match most fitness levels. You will be trained onsite. Lunch is included. Click for more information.
