State Natural Areas

Get outside and help some large oaks thrive at the Whitewater Oak Opening Unit. Help volunteers during our second Saturday workdays. We will be spraying invasive brush to follow up on winter work and girdling aspen. Aspen is native but has increased with a lack of fire and can shade out native understory plants. Plan for hilly terrain. No experience necessary you will be trained on site. Click for more information.
