Verifying Agency Access for IAS and My Insurance Benefits
All Employers | All Benefits
As we approach the July 1 rollout of the My Insurance Benefits platform, we recommend that all HR Administrators and benefits professionals review their system permissions. Please ensure that the appropriate personnel have access to IAS-related tools by completing the ETF Online Access Security Agreement - IAS (ET-8928i).This step is required for the continued use of the ETA and My Insurance Benefits this summer.
Employer IAS Procedures Available
All Employers | All Benefits
With the launch of My Insurance Benefits, employers will engage in multiple tasks and workflows in the new system. Many of these tasks are straightforward. However, some require utilizing additional systems or coordination with ETF and vendors.
For these situations, ETF has created a new resource:
This procedures manual includes information on how to address a variety of scenarios in My Insurance Benefits. Some of these scenarios are common (e.g. Divorce) and some are less common (e.g. Enrolling a Military Student Dependent Over Age 26). Each procedure has a background of the topic, related resources and links, and step-by-step guidance. This guidance also addresses when a scenario might branch into separate paths (e.g. if an employer has or has not already verified a dependent missing from coverage).
ETF is regularly updating the procedures, including for interim periods as different employer groups go live with My Insurance Benefits. Along with other resources like the HR Administrator Guide (ET-1110) and Qualifying Life Event and Change Reason Companion Guide (ET-1141), the employer procedures can help you navigate daily tasks in My Insurance Benefits.
All Employers | All Insurance Benefits
ETF is regularly updating the Employer Q&A Resource to incorporate employer questions from the My Insurance Benefits training sessions. We encourage all employers to check this document regularly for new questions you may have.

Locals & Non-STAR Employers | ICI and Accident Plan
As we move to the next phase of the IAS program, please remember to submit updated ICI and Accident enrollment files to ETF by April 17, 2026. Your final ICI and Accident enrollment files must be submitted by May 15, 2026. You will need to manually enter any ICI and Accident enrollment updates not submitted by May 15, 2026, into My Insurance Benefits in the weeks preceding the July launch to ensure employee coverage is accurate.
