May is Mental Health Awareness Month
One in five people will experience a mental health condition in any given year. The theme for this year's Mental Health Awareness Month, "Turn Awareness into Action," couldn't be more timely.
Rates for next year will be set by the Group Insurance Board this May. Information about rates and benefit changes will be shared with members during the open enrollment period, Oct. 6-31.
Costco Pharmacy is the new mail-order pharmacy for members of ETF-administered health insurance. You do not need to be a Costco member to use this service or pick up prescriptions inside any Costco Warehouse.
Participants can either complete a short on-site appointment at various locations or request a self-collection kit. Completing a screening counts toward the $150 Well Wisconsin incentive, with deadline on Oct. 17.
As you enter your prime earning years, you may have more to set aside for the future. Attend this free 30-minute webinar on retirement planning from the Wisconsin Deferred Compensation Program (WDC) to know how the WDC is equally important for WRS members to grow their personal savings.

With more than 20 years of public service, Lori started with the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs. She is currently a public safety communicator at UW-Madison. Lori shares why she is in public service:
“Responding to emergencies has always been part of my life. My dad would help coordinate aerial search and rescue missions in western Wisconsin. In 1997, I joined the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs. For over 20 years, I coordinated statewide emergency preparedness campaigns and responded to numerous emergencies and disasters. It was always difficult seeing the extent of damage. However, it also was rewarding to meet with families, hear their stories, sometimes offer a hug, and help them connect with recovery programs and other available services. Now, I continue to focus on public safety communications at UW-Madison.”
Share your personal journey in public service, and you might be featured in the next issues of WRS News Online and other ETF publications.
As the agency that administers benefit programs to WRS members, ETF is committed to protecting your personal information.
