The World Cheese Awards (WCA) is one of the most prestigious cheese competitions in the world, attracting thousands of entries each year, and your company's cheese could be among the contenders! This year it will take place in Bern, Switzerland, from November 12 to 14.
U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) will support U.S. cheesemakers by covering the WCA entry costs for the first 200 U.S. cow's milk (including mixed milk) cheeses. USDEC will also help with applying for the shipping documentation required to enter the competition.
Entries close on Tuesday, September 16, or earlier if the entry cap is reached. Because the organizers have placed a cap on the number of entries this year, we encourage you to enter as soon as possible. Please direct questions to Nuhami Alemu at nalemu@usdec.org.

We were honored to welcome a delegation from Wisconsin's Sister State in China, Heilongjiang, led by Vice Governor Han Shengjian, for a productive and engaging visit on June 3, 2025. Hosted by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), the group met with representatives from the University of Wisconsin–Madison College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), DATCP, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism and Wisconsin Department of Revenue, and the Center for Dairy Research in Madison, where they learned about Wisconsin’s leadership in cheese innovation. DATCP connected the delegation with The DeLong Company to discuss trade opportunities and challenges. The visit opened the door to promising discussions on expanding exports of Wisconsin grains, dairy, meat, lumber, and ginseng to Heilongjiang, further strengthening our decades-long partnership and building new opportunities for collaboration.
