May 14 webinar: Making Solar Jobs Good Jobs

The Center for Climate Action and Sustainability at Evergreen State College is hosting the presentation by Nikki Luke, an assistant professor of human geography at the University of Tennessee who studies labor and environmental justice. This discussion will include observations that some jobs are dangerous and underpaid and how policy efforts can reverse this trend.

Clean building laws open house Wednesday

Webinar: Navigating U.S. DOT grant, credit programs
Is your organization interested in sponsoring a transportation infrastructure project in the Pacific Northwest? The Pacific Northwest Economic Region’s Regional Infrastructure Accelerator (PNWER RIA), a U.S. Dept. of Transportation Build America Bureau funded grant program, will host a webinar focused on navigating the department's innovative financing tools on Tuesday, May 20 at 10 a.m. Attendees will hear an overview of federal transportation grant programs and credits and learn about technical assistance resources and upcoming funding opportunities. First energy resource adequacy meeting June 5
Join the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission and the State Department of Commerce for an energy resource adequacy meeting on Thursday, June 5 from 8 a.m. – noon. The meeting, which will be held in a hybrid format with in-person and Zoom attendance options, will include presentations and discussions on summer reliability assessments, general summer readiness data, weather and hydropower outlook, and wildfire. The departments will host three resource adequacy meetings in 2025. Future meetings will cover longer-term resource adequacy needs and winter and gas system readiness.
