College Savings Connections - graduation hats thrown in the air

WA529 Employer Newsletter

Spring is in the Air

March holds many opportunities to celebrate – most notably Women’s History Month, St. Patrick’s Day and Employee Appreciation Day last Friday, March 5th. What better way to honor and empower your employees than boosting their financial well-being with resources that can support their financial wellness goals? Did you know that many parents say saving for their children’s education is one of the most important savings goal a parent has? Employers can help by providing 529 plan information and resources to their employees through their voluntary benefits offerings at no cost to the employer. Offering 529 plan resources and information as well as educational seminars or workshops through the workplace can help employees learn more and boost loyalty, retention, and morale.

Washington’s 529 College Savings Plans (WA529) include the GET Prepaid Tuition Program and DreamAhead College Investment Plan. Families can open accounts to save for their children or grandchildren’s future education expenses at colleges and career training schools in the U.S. and even abroad.

Here are some resources including upcoming free webinars and mini information sessions that we encourage you to share with your employees to help create awareness and promote education in your workplace:
