Growing a Living in Whatcom County—Dig in at the Whatcom Farm Expo!
Whatcom County, WA — Agriculture is an economic and community cornerstone of Whatcom County. This year marks a milestone for one of our County’s most anticipated agricultural gatherings. The 10th Annual Whatcom Farm Expo returns on Saturday, February 28, celebrating a decade of growing together! Whether you’re a seasoned farmer, a new homesteader, or just curious about where your food comes from, you are invited to come connect, learn, share, and be inspired. As always, admission is FREE.
Growing a living in Whatcom County takes more than a strong back and good soil. It’s about balancing the daily work in the field, garden, barn, or pasture with the bigger picture — business planning, marketing, water access, farm infrastructure, and adapting your land for the future. At this year’s Expo, you will have the opportunity to connect with experts and peers on agricultural viability, raising and marketing niche meat, land management and improvement, starting or growing a farm business, and raising livestock.
Growing a living in Whatcom County also means supporting the next generation of farmers so they are ready to carry on this pillar of life in Whatcom County. Featuring a youth track for 4-H, FFA, and others, this year’s Expo is a chance for the next generation of farmers and agricultural community members to share knowledge and opportunities for involving youth in farming.
