Stay Home, Stay Healthy Order for Movers

On March 23, Gov. Jay Inslee issued the Stay Home, Stay Healthy Proclamation in Washington.

What does this mean for household goods movers?

  • Under the governor’s guidelines, pending real estate transactions can close. Moving company services obtained to meet the contractual obligations of a closed or closing sale are permitted.
  • Moving company services provided to relocate a vulnerable individual are also permitted.

Household goods companies providing the essential services described above should take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure the safety of their workers and customers by following the CDC recommended guidelines, including maintaining social distancing.

To clarify essential status or to petition to be added to the essential business list, please complete and submit this form.

To file a complaint about a non-essential business that continues to operate, complete this form.
