There's a new app for the Pierce Transit Runner

Pierce Transit Runner is an on-demand ride service that offers a quick, car-free transportation solution, typically in areas with limited transit options. There are currently five Runner zones serving Pierce County, providing connections to Downtown Tacoma, along Ruston Way, the Tideflats, JBLM, the Spanaway/Parkland/Midland area and Puyallup; and a sixth zone in Gig Harbor is launching this Spring. 

The new, dedicated Pierce Transit Runner app is now available in the Puyallup zone, and will roll out to the Spanaway, Ruston, and Tideflats zones starting on January 2, 2024.

Riders can download the new app in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It includes:

• Easy-to-use interface
• Bus options/connections
• Simple sign-up and trip booking
• Accurate wait times, real-time vehicle locations
• Better communication between drivers, dispatch, riders
• ADA compliant features
• Ride rating/feedback

• Pierce Transit is pleased to release its 2023 Report to the Community. This report offers highlights from the agency's activities throughout the year, including customer characteristics, community partnerships, service innovations and sustainability efforts.

• Pierce Transit buses will run on Sunday schedules on January 1 (New Year's Day). Get the holiday schedules on our site.
• On January 2, Runner customers will need to download the VIA app (instead of the GOIN App) to continue riding
• Pierce Transit will be going fare free on Sunday, February 4 in honor of Transit Equity Day
