Pierce Trips Announces Best Commuter Businesses of 2019

Having a smart transportation program at your worksite is a benefit to employees, which allows employers to attract and retain top talent, expand labor pools, reduce parking demand, and demonstrates environmental responsibility. A transportation program can include a variety of elements such as forming carpools, providing bus passes, subsidizing vanpooling, encouraging teleworking and compressed work weeks.
In early 2019, Pierce Trips announced the new Best Commuter Business leadership program to recognize partnering employers’ efforts toward increasing smart transportation commutes to their worksite. Throughout 2019, employers were evaluated and scored on their transportation program elements, engagement and performance.
Today, Pierce Trips is excited to announce this year’s Best Commuter Businesses of Pierce County. Employers who earned a Gold, Silver or Bronze level recognition will receive an expansive marketing package to promote their designation internally along with online and print advertising to promote to the general public throughout 2020.
