Updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 and Flu vaccine recommendations
CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older, especially older people and those with weakened immune systems, get the updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 and Flu vaccines for Fall/Winter virus season. New formulas of the vaccines should be available this fall.
Immunity against COVID-19 decreases over time, and new virus variants emerge. Getting the updated vaccine can help boost your immunity and protect you from severe illness and reduce the chance of suffering effects of Long COVID.
The updated flu vaccines will all be trivalent (three-component). You have many flu vaccine options to choose from. Talk to your doctor or health care professional if you have questions about which vaccine is best for you, your staff, and residents.
Vaccine partnerships
If you need help finding a vaccine partner, contact longtermcare@tpchd.org. We can connect you with an independent pharmacy providing on-site services at your facility and other pharmacy services.
