January 2024 respiratory illness data

  • COVID-19 hospitalizations in Pierce County remain steady. COVID-19 hospitalizations statewide are seeing uptick.
  • Influenza hospitalizations in Pierce County decreased recently but are still more than double the rate compared to November 2023. Flu hospitalizations statewide are on the rise.
  • RSV hospitalizations in Pierce County had a significant decrease in December 2023 but the rate is still double compared to the beginning of 2023.
