Need a little more time?

You can request a free 6-month extension on your septic design or well application if it expires between March 16, 2020 and Jan. 31, 2023. Email your request to ehsepticsystems@tpchd.org. Your extension will start the day you request it. If you’ve already received an extension, you aren’t eligible for another.

Upload a resubmittal to ECO

You can attach a resubmittal directly to your application in Envision Connect Online (ECO) at eco.tpchd.org. You may even get processed a little quicker—it saves us time when you link your documents. We still accept resubmittals to ehsepticsystems@tpchd.org, but please only use one method to resubmit.

Flood zones

Critical areas review for floodplain:

Pierce County recently changed their procedures for reviewing critical areas for septic systems and wells on parcels in the floodplain. Development Engineering previously reviewed these parcels before transitioning to Pierce County floodplain engineers. Parcels that list Yes under Flood and Floodway on the Pierce County About My Property website need to send their site plan(s) to pcsepticwellflood@piercecountywa.gov for critical areas approvals.

Include a copy of the site plan with the approval stamp from the floodplain engineer with your application. We want designers to learn the new process so we won’t charge resubmittal fees for missing the floodplain critical areas stamp until Sept. 1, 2022.
