Pierce County is back in Phase 3 

Requirements for food establishments.

Food Establishment Operator:

Today, May 18, 2021, Pierce County moved to Phase 3 of Healthy Washington-Roadmap to Recovery Plan.

Under Phase 3, food establishments may sell food and beverages for takeout, delivery, outdoor dining and limited indoor dining.

Indoor dining limitations include:

  • Capacity limited to 50%.
  • Table size limited to a maximum of 10 people with no household restrictions.
  • Tables must be located to maintain at least 6 feet between seated customers. This includes food courts.
  • Alcohol service, delivery and consumption must stop at 12 a.m. Food service may continue past 12 a.m.

Open Air and Outdoor Seating Requirements are unchanged from Phases 1 and 2. Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board offers additional information on open air seating options.

Retail stores, like grocery and convenience stores are limited to 50% of capacity. We encourage curbside pick-up.

Establishments that serve alcohol to only 21 and over with no food must remain closed.
