You can expect improved review times. You’ll get faster turnaround times for your residential projects because we’ve streamlined review process for water and septic permits.
Starting January 2021, we’ll inspect individual well site applications independent of onsite septic soil reviews. These changes mean applicants can:
-
Get their well drilled before a septic approval.
-
See faster final water approval for onsite septic approval.
Let your customers know about these improvements.
-
These streamlined efforts affect how you work with septic designers.
-
We’ll approve well sites before onsite septic review on larger lots.
-
We’ll coordinate and hold well approvals for septic design approval in areas with marginal soils or significant lot restrictions.
Help us achieve this faster process.
-
Submit critical area checklist reviews with your application to ensure quicker review times.
-
Submit the Pierce County stamped designs to avoid project delays.
We require resubmittal fees for each additional review.
Our well site approval letter now includes the following language:
We recommend you contact your septic designer before drilling the well, especially if The Health Department issues the well site approval before septic design approval. Design changes can affect lot development. This may result in calls to the designer.
