Council Member Kristina Walker -- Sound Transit Open House and Survey
City of Tacoma Washington sent this bulletin at 05/18/2026 08:59 AM PDT
Hello, Tacoma!
Sound Transit needs your input on the design of the future Tacoma Dome Link Extension (TDLE) stations and how people will get to them. Together with city partners, Sound Transit is identifying potential improvements to help make it safer and easier for people to access the future stations by walking, rolling, biking, and other non-motorized options.
Want to learn more or share your perspective? I encourage you to attend Sound Transit's open house, happening in Tacoma on May 20 at the Tacoma Art Museum from 6-8pm.Community input is an important part of this process and Sound Transit is excited to hear from you.
Sound Transit is looking to understand:
How do you expect to travel to the future stations?
What station features matter most to you?
Which potential station access improvements would be most helpful?
Please note that the Open House is a project-based discussion that is separate from the “Enterprise Initiative.” The Enterprise Initiative is Sound Transit’s comprehensive effort aimed at delivering the maximum benefits of Sound Transit 3 (ST3) within available financial resources. As part of this effort, the Sound Transit Board is evaluating different approaches to updating the ST3 System Plan in summer 2026, which may include new ways to build, phase, or sequence projects.
