It is time to submit your applications for the 2026-2027 Tacoma Creates Impact funding cycle! Eligible non-profit arts, culture, heritage, and science organizations are invited to apply for funding to increase access to programming and experiences throughout Tacoma by expanding offerings and reducing barriers to participation.

Tacoma Creates is beloved in our community and I was pleased to lead the effort to reauthorize this program last year. Not only was Tacoma Creates the first Cultural Access Program of its kind in Washington state, but the City Council also became the first to use councilmanic action to reinstate a local 1/10^th of 1 percent sales and use tax so that we can continue this vital program. During the first six years, Tacoma Creates provided over $30 million in funding to more than 100 local cultural organizations, reaching more than 4 million participants across 5,000+ programs. Tacoma is an arts city, and I can't wait to see all the great programming and opportunities the next seven years will bring to our community.
