Hello District 3!
I am excited to share a great opportunity for all of the artists in our community! As many of you know, Seattle will be hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2026. FIFA selects tournament and host city posters for every World Cup, and the competition has just kicked off to design the Seattle FIFA World Cup 2026 poster.
Seattle FIFA World Cup is looking for designs that capture the essence of the culture, community spirit, people, and passion for soccer. I have no doubt that our Tacoma artists can rise to this challenge, and I hope many of you will consider submitting designs. Seattle FIFA World Cup will select up to four finalists, who will each receive a $2,500 finalist fee. FIFA will then pick the winning design from the four finalists.
The winning design will be featured as the official poster for Seattle FIFA World Cup 2026, gaining national and international recognition. For more information, visit: seattlefwc26.org/poster-contest.
While Seattle is the host city, I have no doubt that Tacoma can be the creative force drawing people from around the world to our region!
