The ever-popular Paws in the Pool returns on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Valley Mission Pool. The pool goes to the dogs with two sessions of four-legged fun – first from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. for small dogs 65 pounds and under and then from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for large dogs 66 pounds and over. There is a $5 fee per dog, proof of vaccination is required and pre-registration is recommended. Make sure to view all the rules and regulations online before you register.

As the pool season winds down, don’t miss the chance to splash around at Spokane Valley’s three public swimming pools. Make sure to check online for pool season closure dates before you go. There’s still plenty of time to cool off and have fun in a splash pad at Discovery Playground, Edgecliff Park, Greenacres Park and Browns Park, which are open until Oct. 15.
