Starting as early as Tuesday, September 22, Sound Transit and local utility providers will temporarily close traffic lanes on NE 145th St between 28th Ave NE and Bothell Way NE for utility relocations. Crews will work periodically during the day and night, as well as on weekends.  Crews need these lane closures to safely relocate existing utilities. Temporary lane closures will occur at different times throughout construction and will not be in place 24/7. See map for the work zone. 

All businesses and residences will remain open and accessible. Pedestrian detours are in place to direct people around the work. ADA access to buildings will be maintained.

• Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians should follow posted signs and detours.  

• Plan ahead, leave early, and allow extra time to reach your destination. 

• Flaggers will escort pedestrians to businesses, crosswalks, residences, and side streets within the work area. 

• WSDOT-controlled signals will remain in standard operation. Traffic plans are in place to direct traffic around the work. Traffic barrels and signage will be in place to ensure the safety of crews and vehicles using the road. 

• Dates, times, and locations are subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen issues.   

• Sound Transit will send updated alerts if work is scheduled to continue into 2027.
