Upcoming traffic revisions and closures on NE 130th St and 5th Ave NE
Restoration work continues in the area immediately surrounding Pinehurst Station in preparation for our Sept. 30 station opening. An upcoming ten-day closure is necessary for several final roadway, traffic island, and curb ramp improvements.
In preparation for this work, traffic controls will be in place starting Thursday, Sept. 10, and lasting through the weekend for work on utility poles at the intersection of 5th Ave NE and NE 130th St. Traffic will be maintained through the intersection. Please follow signage and officers directing traffic.
Several lane restrictions and closures are expected to begin Monday, Sept. 14:
-
Full road closure on NE 130th St between Roosevelt Way NE and NE 8th Ave.
-
The easternmost lane on 5th Ave NE will be closed between NE 125th and NE 130th streets; driveway access will be maintained.
-
Eastbound right turns from I-5 off-ramp and local traffic will be restricted from 5th Ave NE to Roosevelt Way NE. A detour from I-5 will direct traffic to the NE 145th St exit. A local detour via NE 125th St/Roosevelt Way NE can be used to reach points east of 5th Ave NE.
- Eastbound lanes on NE 130th Ave will be reduced to one lane between 1st Ave NE and 5th Ave NE.
See maps for closure and detour information. Additional closures are expected in October to complete final road and ramp work in the vicinity of the station.
