Work to begin at the Bellevue Transit Center Bus Depot
Starting July 27, construction crews will begin retrofitting the current Bellevue Transit Center Bus Depot to accommodate the Stride double decker battery electric buses. Major work will include painting, modifying the existing canopy structure, lighting and signage upgrades, and modifying the sidewalks. This work will last through February 2027, with some periods with little to no work. Work will take place in phases. The bus bays will remain operational throughout construction.
Once this work is done, the Bellevue Transit Center will be where the Stride S1 and S2 lines meet, providing seamless transfers to local and regional transit services.
This work will primarily affect transit riders and our transit partners will communicate it out. Make sure you are signed up to receive rider alerts for any bus routes that stop at the Bellevue Transit Center.
