Sidewalk closures on S Grady Way and Rainier Ave
Starting as early as Monday, July 20, Sound Transit will close the sidewalk on the north side of S Grady Way from Lake Ave S to Rainer Ave S and on the east side of Rainier Ave S between S Grady Way and S 7th St. All crosswalks at the intersection of Rainier Ave S and Grady Way will remain open to allow pedestrians to safely cross the roadway.
Pedestrian detours will be in place. Please follow posted signage for safe passage around the closures. See the map below for more information.
This closure will allow construction crews to do essential utility work needed for the construction of the new Renton Transit Center. The Renton Transit Center project is part of the Sound Transit Stride S1 Line. For more information on Stride, visit the webpage.
