Lane closures along 20th Ave SE in Canyon Park
From July 27 to Aug. 7, Sound Transit will close the northbound lanes of 20th Avenue SE adjacent to the Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility (Bus OMF). Northbound traffic will be directed to the other side of the median, creating one lane of traffic in each direction (see maps).
From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, flaggers will assist with traffic flow and left turns from 20th Avenue SE onto 20th Avenue SE and adjacent to the Romac and Element Research Center driveway. When flaggers are not present, left turns will not be allowed. These closures will allow the Bus OMF to connect to the existing waterline. Using detours is advised, as these closures will affect traffic in the area.
What
- Closing the two northbound lanes of 20th Ave SE, adjacent to the Bus OMF construction site.
- Flaggers will direct vehicles for safe traffic flow and assist drivers making left turns from 20th Ave SE, including at the Romac and Element Research Center driveway.
- If flaggers are not present (from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. and on weekends), left turns are not allowed. Drivers should wait for flagger instructions during flagger hours.

- Flaggers will be stationed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
