Sidewalk and Signal Improvements work begins on Thompson Street. Accompanying sidewalk closure and detour

Starting May 26, Sound Transit will begin construction at the intersection of Thompson Street and Station Lane. The construction will take six weeks. This work will temporarily close the south sidewalk and require alternating lane closures. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic throughout the project.

Pedestrians will not be able to use the south sidewalk where Station Lane meets Thompson Street. To get around the closure, pedestrians should cross at either McKinnon Avenue or Cherry Avenue to reach the open side of Thompson Street.
