Ongoing short-term lane closures
As Sound Transit builds Stride S3 in Kenmore, crews will regularly close lanes on SR 522 (Bothell Way) between 61st Ave NE and 80th Ave NE. Crews need these lane closures to safely complete a variety of construction activities, including utility work, roadway improvements, and station-related construction.
These closures will occur at different times throughout construction and will not be in place 24/7. Please see attached map for work zone locations. SR 522 will remain open to traffic. Crews may close turn lanes, but drivers will still be able to turn on and off SR 522.
Crews will work from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday – Friday. Sound Transit will notify the public separately about any work happening outside of these hours.Traffic patterns will change during constructions. Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians should follow posted signs and directions from flaggers and plan extra travel time.
