Starting April 21, Sound Transit will close the right-turn lane at the corner of eastbound SR-522 (Bothell Way) and 61st Ave NE in Kenmore. This closure will also encompass the sidewalk on the south side of SR-522, from Kenmore Dentistry’s parking lot to the intersection at 61st Ave NE.

There will be no pedestrian access to this sidewalk. For pedestrian access, King County Metro has installed a temporary bus stop in front of the dental offices at 5723 Bothell Way NE in Kenmore. The bus routes serving this stop will be eastbound lines 322, 331, 372, and 522. If you are coming from the east, you will need to take the westbound bus route to the next stop at either Ballinger Way NE or NE 170th St and transfer to the eastbound bus to access the temporary stop (see map).

This closure will continue through fall 2026. Eastbound traffic can still turn right.
