Former Red Apple site closure begins July 10
What
-
Starting July 10, approximately half of the former Red Apple site will go under environmental work, eliminating approximately 80-90 “parking spaces” currently used by commuters.
-
If you park on this site early in the morning, you can park in the northern half. Commuters arriving later will need to find alternative parking. The official Sound Transit parking lots available during Sumner’s garage construction are the Puyallup parking garage/station or the Bonney Lake Park and Ride, where you can take the ST 596 bus to Sumner Station. Parking in a city public visitor lot will result in a ticket.
When
Where
More
- The former Red Apple site is a privately owned parcel, not the City of Sumner. The owners have been generous in allowing it to be used as parking while they can. The Sound Transit garage that’s currently under construction will bring over 600 spaces. However, during construction, parking in downtown Sumner will be temporarily difficult, especially for commuters.
