Ongoing construction in downtown Federal Way
What
- Sound Transit’s contractors will start construction in downtown Federal Way starting as early as April 18 and lasting approximately three weeks. Work will take place along S 317th Street near the 23rd Avenue S and 28th Avenue S roundabouts. This work is part of the reconfiguration of roadways near the Federal Way Transit Center and future Federal Way Downtown Station. Follow all signed detours and drive carefully.
When
- For approximately three weeks starting as early as Friday, April 18.
- Work will take place during daytime hours on weekdays only. Residents will receive additional notification for any overnight or weekend work.
*Work is weather-dependent and dates are subject to change.
Where
- Downtown Federal Way along S 317th Street near the 23rd Avenue S and 28th Avenue S roundabouts (see map on back for more details).
More
- Residents will always have access to their homes.
- Crews will work to reduce noise when possible.
- Cranes, trucks, and other heavy equipment will be used.
