WSDOT’s upcoming overnight lane and off-ramp closures
Construction for WSDOT’s I-405/ Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project continues. WSDOT crews will work to carry out a full alignment shift on both eastbound and westbound SR 522 lanes at the I-405 and SR 522 interchange in Bothell. WSDOT’s contractor will close all but one lane in each direction on SR 522 from 10 p.m. Friday, April 18 through 7 a.m. Saturday, April 19. One general-purpose lane will remain open in each direction. These lane closures will allow crews to shift eastbound and westbound SR 522 traffic north so crews can keep working on the final alignment of the I-405 and SR 522 interchange.
What to expect:

April 21–23: Overnight rolling slowdowns on I-405
Between April 21 and 23, WSDOT crews will work overnight to remove signs over I-405 near SR 527 to prepare for road widening. Crews will employ rolling slowdowns and lane closures from 11 p.m. through 5 a.m. to create gaps in traffic flow, which will allow short-term access to the roadway to remove signs over the highway. During a rolling slowdown, crews may temporarily stop traffic for up to 15 minutes. Widening the roadway will allow space to install new express toll lanes, which future Stride buses will use to travel along I-405.
