The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) comment period for the Tacoma Dome Link Extension (TDLE) is now closed. Thank you for reviewing and providing comments on the Draft EIS. Next, we will review all comments and give a summary to the Sound Transit Board and the public. The Board will review the Draft EIS analysis, public, agency, and Tribal comments, along with other information, before confirming, modifying, or identifying the Preferred Alternative later this year. We will further evaluate the Preferred Alternative and other alternatives in the Final EIS.
We expect to publish a Final EIS in 2027. It will include responses to substantive Draft EIS comments. Following the Final EIS, the Board will select the project to be built, and the Federal Transit Administration will issue a Record of Decision.
We appreciated the important feedback from community members on how we can better engage the community in the future. Please email us if you have additional feedback for the project team about the comment period.
