Auger cast pile drilling starts at the Kent parking garage construction site
Starting Feb. 11, Sound Transit's contractor will start preparation for conducting pile drilling at the Kent parking garage construction site. This work will involve drilling auger cast piles at the site. It could take up to 10 weeks during regular permitted work hours.

Railroad Ave closure between E James St and E Pioneer St, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Construction noise and vibrations will occur but will stay within the City of Kent’s regulations.

Expect an increase in truck traffic with heavy equipment, materials, and construction spoils that will be entering and exiting the site during this time.

The project team will ensure traffic control measures are in place for safety.
