Please comment now! Draft EIS comment period ends Feb. 10
Thanks to everyone who attended our Draft EIS public meetings/hearings in January! If you have not yet submitted comments on the Draft EIS, the comment period closes on Feb. 10.
Ways to comment by Feb. 10:
What comes next?
After the comment period closes, on Feb. 10, 2025, we will review all comments received on the Draft EIS and provide a summary to the Sound Transit Board and the public. The Board will consider the Draft EIS along with public, agency, and Tribal comments and other information prior to confirming, modifying, or identifying a Preferred Alternative. In the Final EIS, we will further evaluate the Preferred Alternative.
We expect to publish a Final EIS in 2027. It will include responses to substantive Draft EIS comments and evaluation of the preferred and other Draft EIS alternatives. Following the Final EIS, the Board will select a project to be built, and we anticipate the Federal Transit Administration to issue a Record of Decision.
