TDLE Draft EIS coming Dec. 13: We need your input!
On Dec. 13, Sound Transit will publish the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Tacoma Dome Link Extension project.
The Draft EIS outlines the proposed light rail routes and station locations (alternatives) and how each alternative might affect the surrounding environment. We seek comments on the analysis, including potential impacts, benefits, and mitigation strategies.
Community input is vital. The 60-day formal comment period runs from Dec. 13, 2024, to Feb. 10, 2025. Sound Transit will host three in-person Public Meeting & Hearing events on Jan. 23, 28, and 30, and a virtual meeting on Jan. 21. All sessions will cover the same information, so attend whichever option works best for you.
In a future project update, we will share details about registering for the meetings and other information.

Resources for property owners
Final decisions on impacted properties will come after the Final EIS and the Sound Transit Board selection of the project to be built.
