Weekend closure of S 272nd St and southbound I-5 off-ramp

Sound Transit’s contractors will close S 272nd St, between 26th Ave S and the I-5 on- and off-ramps in Kent. During this closure, crews will continue to restore S 272nd St to prepare for re-opening all lanes. The southbound I-5 off-ramp to S 272nd St will also be closed. Please drive carefully and follow the signposted detour route.

When

Thursday, Sept. 12: We are reducing westbound S 272nd St to one lane, while eastbound S 272nd St will remain fully open. This lane reduction will start at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday. It will last until the rest of the roadway closes on Friday night.

Friday, Sept. 13 through Monday, Sept. 16: S 272nd St will be closed in both directions between 26th Ave S and I-5 on- and off-ramps starting at 10 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday. The southbound I-5 off-ramp to S 272nd St will also be closed.
