Closure of Temporary Pedestrian Path (Monday, Sept. 9)
Starting Monday, Sept. 9th, Sound Transit’s contractor will excavate the area near the Sumner Sounder Station platform to build foundations for the new parking garage. Our construction crews will need additional space to work. This work will entail closing off a temporary pedestrian path at the southern end of the platform to McKinnon Avenue. This closure will last for six weeks at maximum.
We will install cones and signage on the southern end of the platform to direct riders on and off the last train car.
