Permanent parking lot closures starts Aug. 1
On Thursday, Aug. 1, Sound Transit's contractor will permanently close approximately 76 parking stalls at Kent Station. The stalls are on the corner of E James St and Railroad Ave N. We are also closing the paratransit parking lot on Railroad Ave N. These closures are for the Kent Station parking and access improvement project. We plan to make the area a bus layover and pick-up/drop-off area. The agency expects to complete the project by 2027.
We recommend passengers make alternative parking plans until the new Kent Station garage opens. Parking is available at the lot on the corner of E James St and 1st Ave N or the existing Kent Station parking garage.
