Union Station is open: Stop by to learn more about the South Downtown Hub plan!
On the heels of our announcement that Union Station has reopened to the public, Sound Transit is excited to share information about an upcoming workshop and exhibition in the Great Hall to showcase the ongoing South Downtown Hub (SDH) planning work. Sound Transit is producing this exhibition in partnership with King County and the City of Seattle to engage community members about SDH planning in Chinatown-International District (CID) and the Pioneer Square neighborhoods, show what we heard at our first workshop and related engagement series, and present our proposed direction for further study.
Join us on Wednesday, July 17, for the exhibition's opening day and our second SDH engagement workshop, co-hosted with the City of Seattle and King County from 4 to 7 p.m. Help us shape the future of community and transit connections in the CID and Pioneer Square neighborhoods.

What: SDH exhibition opening day and in-person workshop
When: Wednesday, July 17, 4-7 p.m.
Where: Union Station Great Hall (401 S Jackson St, Seattle, 98104)
Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese interpretation and translated materials will be available. Refreshments and activities for children will be provided.

What: SDH self-guided exhibition
When: Open to the public weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting July 18 through December.
Where: Union Station Great Hall (401 S Jackson St, Seattle, 98104)
Please note that no Sound Transit project staff will be on-site to answer questions. This exhibition is open to the public and self-guided.

What: SDH Survey for you to share feedback on SDH concepts for streets and neighborhood connections, and public space and potential development near existing and future light rail stations
When: July 17–Aug. 31

Through these engagement opportunities, we will continue to prioritize potential improvement projects and public transit connections in the CID and Pioneer Square area that best serve the community and to find ways to increase public access and use of Union Station. We look forward to your engagement to develop, evaluate, and advance those ideas!
