The Stride Program is considering a series of names for future Stride stations along the I-405 corridor and would love to know what you think. We are considering names for the following locations:
- I-405/ SR 522 interchange station.
- I-405/ NE 85th St interchange station.
- I-405/ NE 44th St interchange station.
- New Renton transit center.
Station naming is very important for the traveling public and surrounding communities. Join in the fun and share your thoughts on potential station names. We look forward to hearing from you!

I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project update
WSDOT’s I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project held its official groundbreaking ceremony on May 20 at the Brickyard Park and Ride in Bothell. This ceremony kicks major construction into gear along the I-405 corridor between NE 160th St and SR 527. Sound Transit’s interim CEO, Goran Sparrman, spoke at the event about the agency's ongoing partnership with WSDOT on the I-405 gateway program as well as specific improvements related to the Stride BRT Program. Both the Stride S2 and S3 lines will use infrastructure built during this project.
