Save the date! South Downtown Hub Workshop
Save the date for a South Downtown Hub Workshop on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 28, to develop overall concepts for transit hub and community connections around the South Downtown neighborhoods of Chinatown-International District and Pioneer Square. This meeting, hosted by Sound Transit in partnership with the City of Seattle and King County, will be the first in a series of community workshops running through this year into early 2025.
The goal is to partner with the community to develop, evaluate, and advance improvement projects and public transit connections in the CID and Pioneer Square area and find ways to increase public access to Union Station.
Save the date!
More event details to be announced in early February.

Check out our new BLE Online Open House!
We are excited to announce that we have two updated online open houses for the Ballard Link Extension (BLE) and West Seattle Link Extension (WSLE) projects. Visit the new sites for detailed information about your project of choice!
In an October Platform blog post, we announced that BLE and WSLE project updates and online resources are being split, given that the two projects are now on separate environmental timelines. Our project team continues the work to uncouple the previously combined resources you’ve used to learn about these projects and engage with us.
As a reminder, you can connect with the project team through two new email addresses: ballardlink@soundtransit.org and westseattlelink@soundtransit.org. We have also separated email updates for BLE and WSLE. As a result, you are currently receiving emails on both lists. If you prefer to receive project updates for only one project, update your subscription status to BLE or WSLE.
Lastly, to support the South Downtown Hub plan, we have launched the South Downtown Hub online open house. The South Downtown Hub is a collaborative effort between Sound Transit, the City of Seattle, King County, and the community, and will further develop plans for an integrated transportation future for Chinatown-International District and Pioneer Square.
Our team will continue to update and uncouple the combined resources that you commonly interact with to ensure that you are receiving the latest and greatest information most relevant to the project that you care about.
