As early as Monday, May 22, Sound Transit will close the Northgate Way northbound I-5 on-ramp, including a northbound I-5 right lane, and the northbound I-5 off-ramp to NE 130th St for hydroseeding, C04 girder stop plate pulling, and transverse bar installation. This work is part of the Lynnwood Link Extension.
What to know:
- On- and off-ramps will be closed — detour routes are in place for drivers (see maps).
- Crews will work at night to minimize traffic delays.
- Crews will be using heavy equipment. Neighbors should expect typical construction noises.
- If the work is delayed, additional ramp closures will be scheduled and a new flyer will be provided to the residents.
When:
- Northgate Way to northbound I-5 on-ramp:
- Monday, May 22, from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
- Northbound I-5 off-ramp to NE 130th St.:
- Monday, May 22, through Tuesday, May 23, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.
