Nightly road closures of northbound I-5
off-ramp, southbound 1st Ave NE
As early as Monday, May 1, Sound Transit will perform night work that will close the northbound I-5 off-ramp at NE 107th Street and southbound 1st Avenue NE between NE Northgate Way and NE 103rd Street. This guardrail installation, bore and trenching work is part of the Lynnwood Link Extension.
What To Know:
- Northbound I-5 off-ramp at NE 107th St. and southbound 1st Ave. NE between NE Northgate Way and NE 103rd St. will be closed. Detour routes are in place for drivers (see map).
- Crews will work at night to minimize effects on traffic.
- Residents should expect noise from heavy equipment such as a vacuum truck, jackhammer, excavator, loader, light plants and various hand tools.
- If the work is delayed or takes longer than expected, more days will be added. A new flyer will be provided to residents.
When:
- Northbound I-5 off-ramp at NE 107th St.
- Monday, May 1, through Tuesday, May 2, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.
- Southbound 1st Ave. NE
- Monday, May 1, through Wednesday, May 3, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.

- Southbound 1st Ave NE from NE 103rd St. to Northgate Way NE.
