Starting as early as Monday, March 20, Sound Transit will close the northbound I-5 right lanes and Sound Transit Guideway from NE 145th Street to NE 161st Street, including the King County Metro off-ramp. This work is for barrier removal, guardrail installation, and landscaping work for the future Lynnwood Link Extension light rail project.
What to know:
- Northbound I-5 right lane, and King County Metro off-ramp will be closed (See map).
- Crews will work at night to minimize traffic effects.
- Residents can expect construction noise from equipment being operated at night, such as a cad truck, spreader truck, and light plant.
- Most work will involve typical noise to adjacent neighbors, not much louder than freeway noise.
- This night work should take four days to complete. If the work becomes delayed, a new flyer will be provided to residents.
When:
- Northbound I-5 right lane
- Monday, March 20, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
- Northbound I-5 right lane and King County Metro off-ramp
- Tuesday, March 21, through Thursday, March 23, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.
