Starting as early as Monday, March 20, Sound Transit will close the northbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp at NE 145th Street. This work consists of barrier removal, guardrail installation and landscaping work for the future Lynnwood Link Extension light rail project.
What to know:
- Northbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp will be closed. Detour routes are in place for drivers (See maps).
- Crews will work at night to minimize traffic effects.
- Residents can expect construction noise from equipment being operated at night, such as a cad truck, spreader truck, and light plant.
- Most work will involve typical noise to adjacent neighbors, not much louder than freeway noise.
• This night work should take four days to complete. If the work becomes delayed, a new flyer will be provided to residents.
When:
- Northbound I-5 NE 145th St. on-ramp
- Monday, March 20, through Tuesday, March 21, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.
- Northbound I-5 off-ramp
- Wednesday, March 22, through Thursday, March 23, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.
