The Mercer Island Transit Interchange project is wrapping up, with construction scheduled to be complete by the end of March. In this final stage, there will be a series of minor short term sidewalk closures to put the finishing touches on the project.
These detours will occur on both sides of North Mercer Way. The detours will add up to five minutes to walk times, but will not require any pedestrian to walk in the roadway. The detours will also be short term, at most a few days.
Since we are in the final stages of construction and much of the work left is very weather and conditions dependent, the closures could happen suddenly.
Be prepared to follow all indicated pedestrian detours and safety guidelines.
