Light rail testing in Bellevue is taking steps forward! Starting on Monday, Feb. 13, active trains will be on track in the Bel-Red area (as indicated on the map below). Trains will be moving through the at-grade section in Bel-Red twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
Flaggers and safety professionals will be on site to direct traffic when needed. Moving forward, pedestrians and motorists should expect trains to always be running. Pedestrians should make sure to only cross at designated crossings and always look both ways.
Trains will not be running at full speed at first.
How to stay safe around active trains:
- Look both ways.
- Headphones off, screens down.
- Take crosswalks, not shortcuts.
- Stay behind the yellow line.
