As early as Friday, Jan. 6, Sound Transit will restrict NE 185th St. down to one lane from 5th Ave NE to 8th Ave NE for concrete pours at the 185th undercrossing. During this daytime work, 8th Ave NE, south of NE 185th St., will be temporarily closed. Flaggers will be directing traffic around the work zone. Crews will truck in at NE 185th St. for concrete delivery. This work is part of the Lynnwood Link Extension project.
What:
- There will be flaggers during the day to help people navigate around the work.
- Residents should expect noise from heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Work may involve vibration to adjacent neighbors.
- Two-way traffic at NE 185th St. and 8th Ave NE will be maintained through a one lane road with flaggers to direct drivers.
- 8th Ave NE will be closed south of NE 185th St.
- Work is weather-dependent. If the work becomes delayed, residents will receive a new flyer with details.
When:
- Friday, Jan. 6 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where:
- NE 185th St. in between 5th Ave NE & 8th Ave NE (just east of I-5).
