 Gathering important input at the October 13 Chinatown-International District open house.
In July, the Sound Transit Board of Directors identified a preferred alternative for the West Seattle Link Extension and directed staff to conduct further studies and community engagement before identifying a preferred alternative for the Ballard Link Extension. Following the Board action, staff developed a further studies and community engagement work plan, initiated extensive coordination efforts with partner agencies and kicked off community engagement efforts with community briefings, workshops, and recently an open house focused on further studies for the Chinatown-International District (CID). Next month, staff will update the Sound Transit Board on the further study efforts, followed by a status report on the studies and public engagement in February of 2023.

Thank you to all those that were able to join us for our Chinatown International District (CID) kick-off open house on Oct. 13 and for sharing your thoughts on our engagement approach and what to study further as part of the West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions project. Your feedback is shaping the content and approach for an upcoming workshop series, and we look forward to sharing a summary of that feedback in advance of our next meeting.
