Overnight drivers should be aware of upcoming lane and ramp closures on I-5 in Northgate. Sound Transit’s contractor crews will be stabilizing the soil on the road embankment slope adjacent to the northbound I-5 in Northgate. This work is scheduled to occur on the nights of Sunday, October 23rd – Thursday, October 27th.

- One right lane on northbound I-5 from Northeast 70th Street to Northeast 85th Street will be closed.
- The northbound I-5 on-ramp from Northeast 70th Street will be closed.
- The Northeast 8th Street (Exit 172) off-ramp via northbound I-5 will also be closed while work is occurring.
- Please follow the direction of flaggers and signed detours to safely access your destination.
- Plan ahead, leave early and allow extra time to reach your destination.
